Abstract
English
GRETIL is a digital corpus of primary texts in mostly premodern Indian languages that was actively maintained from 2001 to 2020. To ensure long-term preservation, it was migrated to the TextGrid Repository, converting the files to TEI and enriching the metadata with Integrated Authority File (Gemeinsame Normdatei) and Basic Classification classes, among other elements. A new facet-based system replaced the old folder structure, enabling more flexible and precise queries. Complete corpus ZIP files were transferred to the DARIAH-DE Repository for cumulative downloads, while associated secondary literature was moved to the eDoc server at the State and University Library, Göttingen. This migration serves as a model for future projects dealing with heterogeneous data and standardisation needs.
